Early January

The first couple of January days welcomed us here with a beautiful weather. I’m being a bit sarcastic here. It did look very pretty from inside of warm house. The temperature was around –15°C and we were considering ourselves lucky. This is the warmest part of the country, and the temperature elsewhere in this part of Europe was even –35°C. What a start to a New Year.

Phone Case/Cover tutorial

My little daughter drew a picture of phone cover she would like. As you can see, she made very detailed description. She only just started first grade, so the writing is a bit wobbly and in foreign language.

I looked at my leftover yarn stocks -it doesn’t need much, and you can use practically any material. I used E/3,5mm crochet hook.
Ch-chain, slst.-slip stitch, sc- single crochet.
I started at the bottom and worked in rounds. I ch23, sc in second ch from the hook, sc in each of next 20ch, 3sc in last, sc in each of next 20ch on the other side of the initial ch23, 2sc in last, slst. in first ch. I ended up with 46sc and I worked my way up trying to tapestry crochet according to the picture I had from my daughter. I wasn’t hard but it took a few attempts to get it as right as possible. You can see, how I did.

It took one picture only and she has got now an unusual phone cover she designed and nobody else has.
It is just simple way to cover and carry your phone, tablet etc. and stay original.

Have a nice week
Clara
